Core Stability 32 <--> 42

Failure -- Expectation --- Veneration - Celebration

Letting go of living and dying, cultivating a new center
Beneath me the Dragons Dance, a war never ending
The Buddha sits, The Buddhra knows but does not look

Do not become the Dragon, Do not fear the Dragon
Ride the energy, Anchor the love, Release the Power from the Clutches of Fear

These guardians at the threshold teach us what really matters. Are you ready?
Anchor, Protect with Love, Ground, Stabilize, Integrate

Remember.

Dance. Fluid movement dancing through my veins, remembering the song of cells as they surrender to the love always running through.
This is our time. This is our chance. Blessed We Are.

How many times have I been paralyzed by fear? The fear of failure, expecting the ground beneath me to collapse. The week I had an opportunity to play this beautiful Gaia Drum, I was shaken to the core with grief and fear, with the pain of loss and the dread of failing. I feared for my family, my temple, my dharma. Feared that everything would be shattered. Feared that I would never be good enough.

So as I practiced on the drum, I was plagued with self-doubt and criticism. Even when I recorded that night I was convinced all of the songs were horrible takes, and nothing I would release. And yet as I listened to the songs the next morning I cried in joy and praise at how beautiful the prayer had become. This track was one my breakthrough into freedom, letting go of my own expectations and letting my hands fly free. I was so happy with the energy flooding through my body, in such celebration of leaving what I "Thought" I was going to record, I then played Djimbe to my own recording. Layering and playing alongside myself, listening to the rythym moving through me. I was anchoring everything I had learned while playing with Marshall a few weeks earlier. The Line 2 Energy of my Core Stability is about Marrying my Life Force to an ideal, to play in fluid concert with another in order to discover deeper insight into the self. To express the motion of the Gift within me. What a blessed opportunity to play a musical duet with myself, and discover when I least expect beauty and magic to exist, I find it overflowing.
